Why the Summit?
The Nonprofit Summit was born out of a desire to provide the Frederick County nonprofit sector with quality, affordable educational opportunities.
Leaders from the Ausherman Family Foundation, Community Foundation of Frederick County, MD, United Way of Frederick County, MD, PNC Foundation, Helen J. Serini Foundation, and Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations form the Nonprofit Summit committee. Annually this group arranges for high quality, topical presenters to add to the local knowledge base by presenting high-energy, quality workshops to board members, organizational leaders, staff, and volunteers.
Past attendees rated these as the most important benefits received by participating in the Summit: improved personal knowledge base, enhanced skill set, and valuable professional networking opportunity.”
Who does and should attend?
The audience composition consists of board members, nonprofit leaders, staff members, volunteers, potential new board members, up-and-coming nonprofit leaders, and community members interested in learning more about the nonprofit sector.
Join us and expand your knowledge about the functions of the nonprofit sector.
